On Thursday January 16th, 2025, Charles “Buddy” Shields began his eternal journey at the age of 75. Pain and suffering were no longer known to him. Charles was closely tended to by his son for almost five years; someone who he loved and cherished until the very end. Charles spent many years in labor positions because he loved to work and often knew everyone, hence why is nickname was “Buddy”, he was friends with everyone.
Charles was born in Marshall, TX to Chester O. and Edith E. Shields on December 11, 1949.
Charles is survived by his son, Michael; his sister, Patsy Alvarado; Nephew, Jason Dunn; Nieces, Cindy Peterson, Kasey Tausch, and Christy Jordan. Charles has an extensive family including Great and Great Great Nieces and Nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Edith Shields; Niece, Debbie Swancy, and several unnamed Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other family.
