Charles N Stewart was born February 22, 1945, to the parentage of Nolan and Gladys Vallett Stewart in New Orleans, Louisiana. They later relocated to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he attended school and graduated from McKinney High School.
In his early years, Charles attended Saint Francis Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Upon graduating from high school, Charles enlisted in the U.S. Army and served.
He later relocated to Dallas, Texas, with the love of his life, Lorine Calhoun. They married January 31, 1969. To this union, one child was born.
Charles was employed for years at Sky Chefs and was later employed with MiniYard's Warehouse, where he remained until his retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Mrs. Lorine Stewart; sons, Steven E. Stewart and Mack R. Calhoun (Moneak); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Jackson and Othelia McKnight; one brother, Anthony Stewart (Rose); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Gladys Stewart, and two sisters, Shirley Cohen and Elizabeth Ann Stewart.
Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232, US, on September 17, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at Eastgate Missionary Baptist Church, 6960 S Polk St, Dallas, TX 75232, US, on September 18, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Committal will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211, US, on September 22, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
