

Her bubbly personality led her to become the captain of the cheerleaders at Wilmer Hutchins High School where she graduated in 1978. She lived in various states before settling back into Dallas. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Dallas where she accepted Christ into her life. She loved to sing in the choir until she was called home. Her courageous battle with cancer lasted 16 months. She was truly an inspiration and a shining light to many. Her beautiful smile and her spirit will be greatly missed.

Sorrells of Dallas. Her children, Adonica J. Sorrells of Dallas, TX, Aaron R. Sorrells of Cedar Hill, TX and Layton D. Matthews II of Twenty nine Palms, CA. Her grandchildren, Dynamite Krough, Deyon Matthews, Elena R. Matthews all of Twenty nine Palms, CA and a host of other family and friends.
