

Chris Markos passed away peacefully on July 8th in Dallas, Texas at the age of 88. He was born in Cleveland on November 25, 1926. He lived most of his life in the Cleveland area and was a Brecksville resident prior to moving to Florida. He was well-known in the real estate community as he was president of the Cleveland Area Board of Realtors in 1974 and was honored as Realtor of the Year in 1976. He also taught real estate classes and even wrote a few books. He spent his most recent years living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife Marilyn. Chris will always be remembered for his stories and jokes. He wanted to make sure his life lessons were passed on to the next generation.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Markos of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, his three daughters Marilyn (David) Martin of Dallas, Texas, Reenie (Ronald) Matthews of Dublin, Ohio and Betsy (Cliff) Feierabend of Broadview Heights, Ohio, his eight grandchildren: Erich (Kerry) Feierabend, Lindsay Walser, Susan (Graham) Layburn, Brooke (Matt) Fossey, Mark (Amanda) Feierabend, Jillian Feierabend, Chris (Johana) Matthews and Jennifer Feierabend and ten great-grandchildren who called him “Papa Chris”.
Chris is being reunited with many family members and friends who have already passed, including his wife Alice of 51 yrs. and sister Christine King.
Services are being held at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, Texas. Trisagion will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas.
