Christine Chris Rene Griffith

Christine Rene Griffith was born January 3, 1949 to Edward and Eleanor Foster. She died December 23, 2011. Chris was a proud graduate of the University of Texas. She valued education and achieved multiple graduate degrees including a recent M.B.A. Chris was a 23 year breast cancer survivor and an inspiration to many. She was a prominent volunteer for many years and active board member for the Dallas County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, as well as a volunteer for the North Texas Chapter.

Chris devoted herself to family, volunteering, travel, and education. She was an avid reader and dachshund lover.

Chris was a proud mother and aunt. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Griffith Dunlap and son-in-law Sid, her son Matthew Griffith, her sister Kathleen Foster, and her nieces and nephews Tasha, Van, Emily, Anne Marie, and John.

Visitation will be at from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday December 28, 2011 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, Decembr 29, 2011 at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Mausoleum. Interment to follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to continue Chris’ legacy of support for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, www.komen-dallas.org
