Christopher William Frain, age 55, entered his rest pending the return of Jesus on Saturday, May 23, surrounded by devoted family and cherished friends. He passed from mesothelioma, a rare asbestos-related cancer, caused from exposure during his teenage years.
Chris is lovingly survived by his wife of 34 years, Jamie, and their sons, Tyson and Boomer; his siblings, Kirt (Sally), Matt (Amy), Tim (Mariel), Jennifer (Bradley) Taylor, Jennifer (Aaron) Kik, and Cindy (Randall) Flynn; 17 nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Berdie Lou Cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nancy Frain; grandparents, Dr. William and Barbara Easley and Iva Hutchinson; and father-in-law, James B. Cook, Jr.
Chris was an entrepreneur from the age of 21 to his death. Rather than say he was going to “work,” Chris often said he was going to his “playground” where he built companies in multiple industries and geographies. He approached business not merely as a career, but as an opportunity to invest in and lead employees and foster long-standing customer relationships.
Chris was convicted that “to those much had been given, much was expected.” This belief governed his priorities, time, and resources. He had a profound love for those in need and sought to empower ministries meeting food, shelter, medical and educational needs as a foundation to sharing the gospel. Chris did not simply witness the world but worked to make it better.
The family welcomes your attendance for a celebration of his life on Sunday, June 7th at 11AM at Aristide, 6200 TPC Drive, McKinney, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10 – 11AM.
