Ms. Cipriana Salaices

Madre devota, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga, Cipriana Salaices falleció el domingo 27 de junio a los 72 años de edad. Le sobreviven sus hijos Ana Isabel Salaices y Pablo Salaices, sus nietas Emma Rose Rojas y Eliana Isabel Salaices, su nuera María D. Salaices, su hermano, sus siete hermanas, numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos y seres queridos.

Cipriana nació en Jalpa, Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, México fue hija de Pablo Salaices y Carmen Carrillo. Emigró a los Estados Unidos en la década de 1970, donde plantó raíces en el vecindario de Oak Cliff en Dallas, pero con frecuencia regresaba a su amado pueblo natal durante el verano. Era una dedicada católica que asistía a los servicios todos los domingos en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Clara y rezaba el rosario todas las noches.

A Cipriana le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y sus seres queridos. Disfrutaba viajar con sus hijos, hacer recuerdos de campamento, tomar el sol en la playa y explorar nuevos lugares. Era el centro de la fiesta, siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro, tenía un sentido del humor increíble que con frecuencia dejaba a la gente llorando por reírse tanto, y siempre podías verla en la pista de baile en cualquier fiesta. Siempre podrías encontrarla haciendo crucigramas en su casa, paseando por su jardín impecablemente cuidado o pasando tiempo con las mascotas de su familia Cowboy, Flor y Perla.

Cipriana sabía que la familia era de suma importancia y ella hizo que todos se sintieran como miembros de la familia. Cipriana dio el ejemplo y enseñó a familiares y amigos de lo que significaba ser fuerte, tener fe y amar más allá de todo. Todos los que fueron bendecidos al conocerla y amarla la vamos a extrañar mucho.

Devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Cipriana Salaices died Sunday, June 27th at the age of 72. Cipriana is survived by her children Ana Isabel Salaices and Pablo Salaices, her granddaughters Emma Rose Rojas and Eliana Isabel Salaices, her daughter-in-law Maria D. Salaices, her eight siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Cipriana was born and raised in Jalpa, Juan Aldama, Zacatecas, Mexico to Carmen Carrillo and Pablo Salaices. She emigrated to the United States in the 1970s where she planted roots in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas but frequently returned to her beloved hometown over the summer. She was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner of Santa Clara Catholic Church, attending services every Sunday as well as praying the full rosary every night.

Cipriana loved to spend time with family and those she loved. She enjoyed traveling with her children, making memories camping, sunbathing at the beach, and exploring new places. She was the life of the party, she always had a smile on her face, had an amazing sense of humor -- she frequently left people in tears from laughing so hard, and you could always catch her on the dance floor at any family function. She would often be found doing crossword puzzles at home, walking around in her immaculately kept garden, or spending time with her family pets Cowboy, Flor, and Perla.

Cipriana knew that family was of the utmost importance and made everyone she met feel like a member of the family. Cipriana led by example and taught family and friends what it meant to be strong, have faith, and love beyond all else. She will be immeasurably missed by all that were blessed to know and love her.
