I will remember Claire forever. She was a good-hearted teacher who loved her students. I have so many memories about her that spanned 20 + years. The one that stands out mostly today is of her walking beside Maurice, holding hands with him, smiling and laughing as they walked through the parking lot. She was a woman who had everything she wanted.

Claire always greeted me with a smile with arms open for a hug. Mostly we saw each other during holidays and I looked forward seeing how she dressed. She has a petite figure so what ever she wore she always looked adorable.
I appreciated Claire's wisdom and her practicality. She taught me using Ore Ida Russet Cut potatoes steam and mash were simpler then cutting fresh potatoes...boy she was right!
This conversation will always stick with me. I had experienced a spell of difficult times and had embarked onto a new adventure. When I shared this with her, she replied, " How very mature." I found her response comforting in a way that I had finally distanced myself from that difficult time and her comment stuck.
I love and will miss her.
