Claire was born on September 29, 1944, to Howard Kenyon and Marian Young Kenyon in Little Rock, Arkansas. She married Robert “Bob” Sadler in September 1968 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She married Oliver “Ollie” Warren in June 2004 in Dallas, Texas.
Claire is predeceased by her first husband, Bob Sadler, and her eldest sister, Kandy Kenyon. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ollie Warren; her son, Ty Sadler and her daughter Rene Barrett; her two granddaughters, Nicole and Andrea Barrett; her siblings, Boone Kenyon, Bruce Kenyon, Anne Thevenot, Leonard Kenyon and Lynn Kenyon; two stepdaughters, Rae Millard and Kelly Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
After Claire graduated from Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge, she achieved a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and spent a semester abroad in Mexico City. She had a passion for the arts, with a beautiful voice and a talented hand at painting. One of her first passions, that continued throughout her life, was music. In her younger years she played in a band with her siblings, taught herself to play the guitar, as she loved the sound and she enjoyed how family gatherings were always full of singing, laughter and melody. She also liked to travel, seeing many beautiful places from the states and abroad.
Claire loved the outdoors and was very athletic, enjoying everything from skiing to volleyball to swimming. In her later years her constant drive to be active led her to gardening, where she enjoyed the fruits of her labor with the beautiful flowers, bamboo and English ivy in the yard.
Claire felt her greatest accomplishment in life was her family. She passed on her unwavering morals, a strong sense of responsibility and a sincere compassion for people to her children. She relished being a grandparent, spending every possible moment she could with them.
Claire was an amazingly considerate, talented, loving and strong woman, wife, mother and grandmother. Her presence will be sorely missed by those that loved her.
