We miss you Clare (without “air”) N. Heinen, born in Laredo, TX on February 29, 1920 (always fewer birthdays than the rest of us!) Clare died on May 24, 2010 in Dallas, Texas. We thank your parents, Aloysius H. Notzon and Marguerite Zizik. We loved our aunts and uncles Al and Hortense, Sonny and Lula, Claudie and Elizabeth (the last representative!), Roddy and Agnes, Marcel, Margaret (Stita) and Ed. You outlived them all, and your husband J.B. and your oldest daughter Mary Patricia (Tia)! Now we are the oldest generation Dan and his sweetie Joanne, Miles, C.D. and JoAnn, Steve and Bonnie, Meg and Dave, and Angela and all our wonderful cousins. We are followed by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grand children…see what you started? You were always a very gracious lady whose home, for almost 60 years, gave welcome around an oak table expanded to fit the need. Gone are the years of becoming a teacher under the watchful eyes of the nuns at Incarnate Word in San Antonio. We remember your bravado at landing your first job as a secretary in Laredo based on confidence rather than experience. You were a welcomed presence in the office at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dallas for 22 years and developed a wonderful friendship with Ruth Lang. You offered your bilingual abilities to the “Ministry” at Holy Trinity for years after your retirement. You loved your Sunday Breakfast Bunch and your Thursday bible study group. We will honor you on Friday, May 28, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home on Northwest Highway starting at 7pm with prayer at 8pm. On Saturday we will have your funeral at Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Oak Lawn at 10am. Your Pallbearers will be Dan Heinen, C.D. Heinen, Steve Heinen, Andrew Heinen, Stephen Heinen, Dave Rich, Dennis Schroeder, Clark Zaunbrecher. Then we will bury you at Calvary Hill Cemetery on Lombardy Lane. Send flowers if you like or go online to www.Zafen.org to help the people of Haiti recover.
