He attended Woodrow Wilson High School where he met the love of his life Virginia Brawner and married in 1950. He served in the Naval Reserve for 10 years. He was a salesman for Skinner Macaroni for many years and then started his own sales company where he worked until he retired.
He enjoyed the outdoors and staying active. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed riding his bike around White Rock Lake as much as he could, until a back injury made him stop. He also loved to spend time at Lake Texoma with Virginia on their cruiser and would go every weekend until they were no longer able to go.
“Chuck” was an avid reader. He his favorite books were about WWII, Astronomy and anything from the Audubon Society and National Geographic.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence T. and Myrtle R. Berry, Sr and two of his sons, Randal “Randy” Berry and Robert “Bob” Berry. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Virginia Brawner Berry, sons Thomas “Tom” Berry and his wife Cindy of Rowlett, TX, Michael Berry of Garland, TX and Donald “Don” Berry and his wife Carol of Garland, TX. He is also survived by grandsons Jason Berry and his wife Jessica of Rowlett, TX, Bobby Berry and wife Rebecca of Allen, TX, Shelby Berry and his wife Alissa of Pensacola, Florida and Cale Berry and wife Danielle of Dallas, TX and granddaughters Kamie Berry and husband Jack Alldredge of Williamsburg, VA, Haylee Berry of St. Louis, Missouri, He also is survived by great grandchildren, Isabella Berry-Alldredge of Williamsburg, VA, Allen Berry of Rowlett, TX, Roman Berry of Allen,TX, Brinley Berry of Allen, TX, and Ava Berry of Dallas, TX.
