

Clarence Lee Hill passed away peacefully into the arms of his Heavenly Father on the evening of July 6, 2018, at the age of 88. His life on earth was characterized with a servant's heart, love for family, and faithfulness to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Clarence and his twin sister, Clara, were born on August 12, 1929 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, to Grady Henry Hill and Jewel Leon Chaddick Hill. Clarence and Clara had 5 siblings.
Clarence and his family moved to Plano, Texas where he graduated from Plano High School in 1948. He gave his heart to Jesus Christ as a teenager. He went to work for Sears Roebuck & Co. after high school, where he met his beautiful wife Eva Jean Norris. They were married on July 29, 1950.
He retired after 40 years of service with Sears. To stay busy during retirement, Clarence worked on small engine repair, mostly lawn equipment for widows and people in need for about 20 years.
Clarence was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Lancaster, Texas since 1983. Prior to that, he was a faithful member of Danieldale Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas for about 30 years. He spent those years serving as Sunday school superintendent, teacher, deacon, committee member and in other roles as needed.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eva Jean Hill; three daughters, Sandra Hill, Debra Stanley (Troy) and Kimberly Allen (Stephen). Four grandchildren, Dorthea Herndon (Chris), Angela Estes (Josh), James Allen (Hailey) and Leah Reynolds (Matthew). Seven great grandchildren; Andrew, Caed, Noah, McKinley, Grady, Audrey, and Eli (due in November 2018). He is also survived by his sister Patsy Scarborough and his brother Jim Hill.
