

Clarence Ray Starks, affectionately known as “ Little World”, was born October 11, 1950 to the parentage of the late Eddie lee and Alfria Jean Starks. Clarence was a graduate of Franklin D. Roosevelt High School, DISD. He continued his education by attending El Centro College. Clarence joined the UPS Family where he worked for 35 years until his retirement. His passion for music led him to singing and playing in the R.L. Griffin Show Band. He later started his own band called, “The Little World Show Band”. During that time, he played behind countless artists. From there, he started LWP Sound Engineering and Recording. This is something that he enjoyed daily intil the days before his passing. At a very young age, Clarence joined Community Bible Church under the leadership of Rev. Rueben S. Conner, Sr. He leader joined St. Luke Community United Methodist Church, under the leadership of Dr. Michael Bowie Jr., where he gave his life to God. He also worked as the Sound Engineer, when needed, for St. Luke, and, countless other churches. He is preceded in death by his parnets, grandmother, and brother. His memories will forever be cherished by his devoted wife of 36 years, Carolyn; one son, Clarence Ray Borwn; three daughters, Yumecca Fisher, (William); Sharmonica Turnbo, (Michael), and Shanta Harrell-Mackey; two sisters, Wilma Starks, Patricia Cockerham, (Eldridge); two brothers, Terry Starks and Steven Starks; eleven grandchildren, one great grandson, one great aunt, Lois Young, one uncle, Marcell Bailey, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
