Clayton Price Thompson passed away on June 27th, 2019 from a ruptured brain aneurysm at the age of 37. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Clayton changed the lives of more people than he could ever know: as a student and athlete at June Shelton School, as a Surgical Technician at Baylor Hospital for over 10 years, as a fiercely loyal friend, and as a devoted member of his family. There are countless stories of his tender heart of gold, his joy, shining light, inappropriate humor, and ability to make friends out of strangers. It’s no wonder he loved and excelled in his career in the O.R., because he could look at anything and instinctively know how to fix it. Doctors, Heads of Departments, Nurses, and Surgical Assistants have shared stories of the joy and efficiency Clayton brought to the operating room every day. One doctor said, "When I look up and see Clayton in the operating room, I know it's going to be a good day."
Clayton was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joan & Henry Price II, and J.D. Thompson. He is survived by his parents, Susan and Larry Thompson; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Charla Thompson; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and David Hall; sister, Taylor Thompson; grandmother, Virginia Thompson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dearly loved friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 1st, 6-8pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, July 2nd, at Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas at 2pm, with additional visitation at 1pm until the time of service. Interment immediately following at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
Clayton will go on to save and restore more lives as an organ donor, and the family encourages you to consider registering as a donor in his honor through Donate Life Texas, or your local state.
