Clemente Duenas, 81, was born on October 3, 1945, in Mexico, and passed away on October 4, 2026. He resided in Fate, Texas. Clemente will be remembered as a beloved and kind-hearted man whose steady compassion, tireless work ethic, and quiet wisdom shaped a life devoted to family, responsibility, and care for others. Even in serious moments, his warm humor had a way of easing burdens and bringing people together.
From an early age, Clemente faced life with determination. With limited formal education, he began working very young to help support his family during childhood—an experience that formed the foundation of his hard-working spirit. After immigrating to the United States, he continued to labor with purpose as he built a home and future for those he loved. Through persistence and sacrifice, he achieved many of his dreams and, most importantly, provided his two children the opportunity for a successful education.
In 1969, Clemente married Fidela Duenas, and together they shared 57 years of marriage marked by devotion and steadfast partnership. He was the proud father of two children, Jose Oscar and Alma Rosa Duenas. Clemente also took in his wife’s niece, (mercedes Solis - 12 years old), raising her as part of his family—an enduring reflection of his generous heart and the way he made room for others with simple, sincere love.
Clemente found joy in the everyday moments: making people laugh, sitting out on the porch, listening to music, and telling stories of his childhood. Those who knew him best will remember how naturally he could put a smile on someone’s face, and how his humor—so much a part of who he was—became one of the gifts he left behind. Many, upon hearing of his passing, said simply and truthfully that Clemente was “a good man.” The words that will remain in the hearts and minds of those close to him are: “ No Quiere Habla,” a phrase whose meaning will be understood by those who shared in his life and laughter.
Clemente was very close to his family members. He lived out in California most of his life and later moved to Texas to be close to his daughter so she could help care for him in his elderly years. When news spread that he was becoming ill, family members immediately reached out and offered support. Though many lived miles away, their care and presence felt near, steady, and constant.
Special thanks to his son in law (Ruben Becerra) for stepping up and caring for Clemente as if he was his father. Special gratitude to his grandsons (Marco & Christian), daughter in law (Martha Duenas), granddaughter (Itchel Becerra) and his sister Maria Garner for being by his side during his last days of life. A special recognition goes out to Eric Becerra for putting his life aside and taking care of his grandparents 24/7 from the day they came to live in Texas. A special “Thank You” to all the people who flew and drove many miles to be with Clemente for his celebration of life.
Visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247, on October 15, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088, on October 15, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
