

Clementina (Tina) Diaz, 71, passed away on December 29, 2019 following a long battle with liver cancer. Tina was a strong woman of God who knew she would be reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Philip who preceded her in death.
Tina was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico and was the daughter of Teresa Chavez and Demetrio Ponce. She grew up in and attended public schools in Brownsville, TX where she lived with her mother, Teresa and loving step-father, Efigenio Chavez.. She moved to Chicago, Il following her graduation from high school and worked for Western Electric. Tina returned to Texas and worked for many years at Walmart as well as owning her own cleaning business and provided nanny services for many families. Tina was a blessing everywhere she worked and loved by her customers and clients. Tina will best be remembered for her love of God and her family. She was the very best Grandmother in the world.
She is survived by her Father, Demitro Ponce; Brothers, Brigado Chavez, Bertin Ponce, Horacio Ponce, Marcos Ponce, Joe Chavez, Alvaro Chavez and Ray Chavez; Sisters, Sandra Ponce, Laura Ponce, Edith Ponce, Oralia Rodriguez, Mary Camero, Anita Ortiz and Lydia Diaz; Sons, Danny A. Diaz and Derek Diaz; Daughter-in-law Jeanna Diaz and Grandchildren Taylor, Moriah, Diego, Joaquim and Delia. As well as her many Nieces and Nephews, Sisters and Brothers in-law.
