Cleo Marie Hermes known by her friends and family as “Mary” died at her home surrounded by her family on February 24, 2012 of pancreatic cancer. Mary was a loving wife, mother and homemaker who raised six children who loved her dearly. She loved sewing, quilting, flowers and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Eunice Holterman; and her husband, Wilbert. Mary is survived by her children, Mary Frances Hermes, Cecilia Hermes, Reverend Thomas Hermes, Jerome Hermes, Herbert Hermes and his wife Susan and Dolores Crehan and her husband Austin. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Victoria and Holly of whom she was extremely proud. Her family will miss her but they know she will be cooking and quilting with the angels. The family will receive friends Monday, February 27, 2011 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church 2800 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234 with Reverend Thomas Hermes as celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
