Clore Johnson Samples

Clore attended Paul L. Dunbar Elementary, Dallas, TX, Pearl C. Anderson Middle School, Dallas, TX, Lincoln High School, Dallas, TX and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School, Dallas, in 1970. In high school, Clore was Most Popular, cheerleader, and lead majorette. She furthered her education at El Centro College (presently named: Dallas College El Centro Campus), Dallas, TX.

Clore’s work career consisted of the following: She worked in North Dallas as a counselor and mentored individuals. She was a teacher in the Dallas Independent School District and taught Pre-K and Kindergarten at Mount Auburn Elementary School. She was a Fashion Designer and worked in the fashion industry in sales, including James K. Wilson. She also worked as an Interior Designer. She was featured in Future Shock. Clore was a beautiful person and model and toured around the United States.

Clore accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Goodwill Baptist, Late Rev. J.C. Huey; Tabernacle of Praise, Pastor Anthony E. Sharp, I, where she worked in different ministries within the church, and was a part of the Committed Women for Christ; Right Way Missionary Baptist Church, and True Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Late Pastor Dennis W. Brantley where she served faithfully as the Announcing Church Clerk, on the Hospitality Ministry, and she attended teaching ministries.

Clore was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Janie Mae Johnson, and her son

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 44 years, Alvin Samples, Sr., daughter Tracy Mason, her grandchildren: Aijah, Dehaven Sr, Evan (Breanna), Liz, her

Great grandchildren: Dehaven Jr., Brooklyn, Bailee, Elijha, and a host of beloved relatives, family members and friends.

A visitation for Clore will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Singing Hills Funeral Home, 6221 UNIVERSITY HILLS BLVD, DALLAS, TX 75241. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tabernacle-Praise Missionary, 6925 Wofford Ave, Dallas, TX 75227. A graveside service will occur Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, 8100 Fireside Dr, Dallas, TX 75217.
