Clyde was born March 11, 1952 in Dallas, Texas. He attended Nimitz high school in Irving, Texas and went on to become an electrician, working at North Town Electric for over 20 years. Clyde met Sharon Elaine Bolton in 1986 and they married in 1993. Starting in 1986, Clyde and Sharon lived together at their home in Southlake before moving to Keller in 1997 where Clyde lived out the remainder of his life. On September 22, 1993, Clyde and Sharon welcomed their only child, a baby girl named Ashley Nicole Welker.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Welker, and his brother, Ronald Jay Welker. He is survived by his loving mother, Jewona Elizabeth Raines Welker, known to most as Betty, his three sisters, Jewona, Janet, and Jeana, and his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Trevor Barton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Even though Clyde left us too soon, he spent most of his days doing what he loved: hunting, fishing, and spending time with loved ones. Over the past three years, Clyde worked at Klyde Warren Park (KWP) as a member of the park operations team. During his time at KWP, Clyde found a renewed passion for work and developed many great friendships. His genuine character and lovable spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
