

Mary Constance “Connie” Kihneman Grage of Dallas, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2026. She was born on April 13, 1937, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late Henry Charles Kihneman, Jr. and the late Drucilee Brister Kihneman.
Growing up, Connie spent many summers on the Guadalupe River as a camper at Camp Mystic for Girls where she was awarded Senior Cup Girl. An excellent student, she graduated from C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport in 1955. After attending Southern Methodist University for a year, she transferred to the University of Oklahoma in 1956, graduating in 1958. During her time at both universities, she was a proud member of the Pi Beta Phi.
Following graduation, Connie married Allan “Al” Parker Grage, with whom she shared fifty-seven years until his passing in 2015. For her first job experience, Connie taught sixth-grade students in Virginia while Al served as a reserve officer in the United States Army Quartermaster Corps. The couple returned to Texas in 1961, where they raised their three children, and Connie enjoyed a successful 30-year career in real estate.
Known for her incredible wit and many talents, Connie was a friend to all. She loved playing bridge, tennis, and socializing. Connie also enjoyed traveling with Al to Lake Travis for water skiing, Colorado for snow skiing, and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, to relax with her family.
An active member of her church and community, Connie served on the Altar Guild and as a wedding coordinator at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She also volunteered at the polls during election seasons and was a dedicated member of The Dallas Woman’s Club and The Dallas Garden Club. Known for her kindness, Connie was always ready to lend a helping hand with a joyful spirit. She was a loving mother and a devoted friend.
Connie is survived by her brother, Henry Charles Kihneman III; two of her three children, Douglas Parker Grage and Alison Grage Fleming, along with her son-in-law, Jason B. Fleming; grandchildren, Parker Fleming and his wife Mary Elizabeth, Hunter Fleming and his wife Rebecca, Mary Frances Fleming Michael and her husband Brandon, and Henry Fleming; Caroline Grage; Otto Smith; and great-granddaughters Lottie and Talley Fleming. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sanda Grage Liebkemann, niece Deborah Liebkemann Terrell, and nephews Robert Liebkemann, Jr., and Scott Liebkemann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Parker Grage, her son, Steven Hampton Grage, and her sister-in-law, Carol Kihneman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Connie’s honor be made to Camp Sweeney, Box 918, Gainesville, Texas, 76241.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at two o'clock in the afternoon at Saint Michael Chapel, Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, located at 8011 Douglas Ave., Dallas, TX 75225.
