My condolences for Bob, Mary Ann, David and Ruben.
Connie,
You will be missed. As a Mother in law, you were the best a man could ask for. Just know I love your daughter dearly and she is in good hands as long as I’m here so never worry about that. You and Mary Ann had a bond that myself and others would be envious of. Your closeness, like thinking, and almost daily talks were cherished by her. I’m honored to be part of your family.
I thoroughly enjoyed your company and would ask Mary Ann to see if you’d like to come along with us more often than not. Whether it was just hanging out at the house, watching the fights on tv, grabbing a bite to eat, going to the movies, shopping, concerts, baseball games, family meals and special occasion dinners or holiday get togethers, your company was enjoyed and cherished. I could definitely see the big smile in your face that last trip we took to Oklahoma to see the Foreigner concert at the casino. And as most know you were a huge Toby Keith fan too!
You were a person of strong will, grit, and determination. Anything you set your mind to do you could do it! Flying planes, shooting guns, remodel projects, laying tile, your work as a leader at Dallas County Auditors Office, and just being a great Mother and Grand Mother who would do any and everything for your kids and grand kids. You were loved, cherished, respected, and will be missed by many. I used to always joke with you about you teaching the “How to” classes at Home Depot because you were so talented and skilled! Lol
These last few years when the cruel ALS disease took your movement, speech and your body from you was a progression of challenges that you took in stride and toughness and refused to let dominate you in life. Just when we thought the next step was bad, you’d accept and beat that challenge.
I just want to let you know you were loved and will be sorely missed but never forgotten Connie. May you forever Rest In Peace.

A light from my life is gone. So rest in peace my beautiful and precious Sister. I will forever carry in my heart all that you did for me and my family. You were always my rock and my strength in my hardships, and you were my greatest supporter in my triumphs. We had a special bond as Sisters, and you never failed me. And now our faithful Lord Jesus is receiving you with open arms and a beautiful crown you truly deserve. I miss you now and always will, and your memory will live in my heart forever. Forever remembering our parting words as I would say, "I love you Sister," and she would always respond, "I love you more."
I love you very much my Sister! Gloria G. Nevarez
