Cynthia was born on June 4, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Fred Davis and Helen Rufus Davis. She was the oldest of 6 children, preceded by sisters Debra Davis, and Pamela Freeman, and survived by sisters Becky Small, Rhonda Rylander, and brother Fred Davis. She had a loving family of many cousins, aunties, uncles, and grandparents. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School, where she met her match of 55 years, and husband of almost 53 years, Michael Bolton. They were married in Oak Cliff by a Justice of the Peace on August 22, 1972. A computer whiz for her time, she soon embarked on a 3-decade career with one employer, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. She balanced millions of dollars between banks each night.
Marriage brought her two treasured sons, Neil and Brad. Cynthia was a loving and fantastic mother. The boys flourished in Cedar Hill, graduating from Cedar Hill High School under the watchful eye of their father/teacher. They both became computer whizzes in their own right. She enjoyed vacations with her family, but the empty nest let her widen her horizons all the way from Hawaii to Europe. She visited 20 countries, and over 40 states. She especially loved cruises, which combined travel, entertainment, and casinos. Retirement had a stop in Uptown Dallas, before landing in Little Elm in a retirement community to be close to her 3 beloved grandsons, Marshall, Jacob and Luke. They gave her much joy. A long slide with various health problems ended her earthly stay, leaving us with memories of her kindness, generosity, and beaming smile.
