Cynthia W. Meeks

CYNTHIA ANNE WARREN MEEKS -- born November 8, 1923 in Dallas Tx, and passed away January 6th 2012 in Dallas. Cynthia is survived by her two daughters Margaret and Martha Meeks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Meeks, her parents, Dr. Charles H. Warren and Margaret Lawther Warren. Cynthia was from an old Dallas family. Cynthia was a fun-loving person that always had a smile on her face. She attended Highland Park High School in 1941. After graduation she went to SMU where she was a Theta; she majored in Interior Decorating and was employed with Tiches and with Nina Claubourne. She was a Teacher and then at Highland Park Presbyterian Church worked in the nursery for many years. She was a member of several clubs including The Slipper Club, Cotillion Club, Craig Class and the Dallas Woman's Club. She also spent a lot of time in the development of Old City Park. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in the Wynn Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of your choice.
