Dale Denise Busby Glover was born to the parents of Lettie Vern and Henry Earl Busby on March 13, 1960. She grew up in Dallas with her siblings and learned the value of family and faith. She began her Christian journey early in life attending Macedonia Baptist Church in Dallas. After the family moved, she began attending Jordan Baptist Church in Oak Cliff. She continued on her Christian journey and at the age of 18 she united with Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her death. Dale held many positions including vice-president of the scholarship committee, part of the Mission, helped with the Baptist Training Union and coordinated Vacation Bible School each year. She was also church secretary for both Greater Mt. Sinai and for the Unity District Association.
Dale graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and also attended Skyline High School, where she studied cosmetology and obtained her cosmetology license. After high school, she attended Mountain View College and began her professional career at Mostek Industries in Dallas. Eventually, she discovered her true passion in the banking industry, working at Mercantile Bank, Bank One, and several other banks ultimately concluding her banking career with over 30 years of experience at Texas Capital Bank.
Dale spent many summers, holidays and family events in Jefferson, Texas with her maternal grandparents and often called Jefferson her second home. Before God called her home, she was longing to take one more trip to Jefferson, but God called her to a better place where she can rest in the arms of Jesus.
Dale met and married the love of her life Alvin Glover in 1986 who preceded her in death in 1999. She is also preceded in death by her father, Henry Earl Busby; step-mother, Wilma Busby; one brother, Calvin Busby; her maternal grandparents, Alvis and Bernice Burton and her paternal grandparents, Wilma and Vera Busby.
