Daphne Jill Borders, age 63, passed away on April 25, 2025, in a hospice care center in Dallas, Texas. She was born on April 9, 1962, in Dallas and spent her younger years there before settling in Mesquite, Texas, after marrying Horace E. Borders Jr.
Daphne dedicated over 25 years of service to EMC Insurance Company. Beyond her professional accomplishments, her greatest joy was spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, including her famous brownies and banana pudding. Daphne’s laughter filled every room, and her sharp wit, honest voice, and kind heart made her unforgettable.
She is survived by her husband, Horace E. Borders Jr.; her sons, Horace E. Borders III and Demarcus J. Borders; her daughter-in-law, Cheyenne Borders; and her beloved grandchildren, Horace E. Borders IV and Ari M. Borders.
Daphne was a strong, loving woman who cared deeply for those around her. Her presence, guidance, and joy will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
