He was born on December 19, 1940, to Vicente de Los Santos Mascorro and Francisco Geronimo Silva in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Where he learned that true wealth came from being humble, honest, and true to your town, religion, family, and friends.
He married his true love Consuelo Garza (Su Querida Morena) on April 25, 1966. - Song: Un Besito De Pilon - Melodiaz Records.
Together they raised five children: Dario Silva, Jr. , Raquel Silva, Frank Rios, Inez Johnny Rios, and Sylvia Rios.
He was a man of many talents a singer-songwriter, actor, painter and great storyteller. “He always had a warm song in his heart…”
He was featured in two movies, Estoy Sentenciado a Muerte (1983) and Marcados Por El Destino (1990)
He was best known by his hit song, “La Rosa Negra.”
