David Lee Frankfurt, life-long Dallas resident, loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away February 2, 2013 at age 81, surrounded by his wife and children. David was born November 25, 1931 in Dallas to Ann and Victor Frankfurt, graduating from Highland Park High School and earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University. At SMU he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. David founded Frankfurt Properties, Inc. after graduation, developing multi-family housing throughout the Dallas area. David's success can be attributed to many things, but most of all his integrity. One of David's passions outside of business was flying. He treasured his association with Angel Flight, flying more than 250 missions for patients in need of medical treatment. David's last thirteen years were spent with his wife and friend, Rhona. They loved traveling the world, fine dining, and their dog, Boone. David believed his greatest achievement was his family. He is survived by his children, Alan and Debbie Frankfurt, Beth and Gary Kahn, Barbara and Howard Glick, Eric and Dena Frankfurt, and Jennifer and Brad Greenblum, eighteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Allen Zidell and Phyllis Zidell. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to Temple Emanu-El (8500 Hillcrest Road, Dallas, Texas 75225) and Angel Flight (2550 Midway Road, Suite 220, Carrollton, TX 75006). The family wishes to offer its deepest thanks and gratitude to his doctors, nurses, and caregivers. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 5th at 10am at Temple Emanu-El, followed by a graveside service at Sparkman Hillcrest
