David Sewell Hanes was born May 30, 1958 in Dallas, TX and left this earthly home on June 27, 2019 in Desoto, TX. He attended Angels, Inc. and John Quincy Adams schools, graduating from W.W. Samuell High School. David participated in the Bell Choir at Bruton Road Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, and a variety of music. David loved to be around his family at home and Park Manor, giving hugs to the nurses and high-fives to the guys. We would like to thank the Park Manor family for their love, care, and joy they brought to David. Also to Monique with Angel Care Hospice. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Weldon and Edith Hanes. David is survived by his sisters, Glenda Merrill and husband Jack; Judi and husband Sam; brothers, Larry and wife Jeannie; Brooks and wife Jan; Mike and wife Joyce; Philip and wife Carole; Cousin, Terry and wife Dorothy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
