David and Susie were my neighbors living on Pow Wow we always had
a lot of fun...The Judds were great people...

David and I were friends forever, seems like yesterday at Holy Trinity and neighbors growing up together, so glad we kept in contact all these years. He was indeed the "king of the one-liners", even my kids still quote some of his sayings! He was truly devoted to his family and so proud of his kids, you never talked to him without his sharing of their accomplishments.

We miss you David Judd.... We need you more.

I was so saddened to learn of David's death. I first met him in the early 1980s when he was a guardian ad litem for a child and I was the attorney for the mom in a hard-fought termination case.The case touched both of our lives and we became friends afterwards. Dear Judd family, I work at Camelot & several years ago David's office was on the same floor as ours. I remember respecting him as an Attorney & I also remember his good sense of humor & sincerity. My Brother passed away suddenly in 1991 and David gave me his Texas Bar Journal publication from Feb 1992 that included a memorial for my Brother. I am grateful for this. You and David are in my thoughts and prayers.

Speaking for my New Orleans family, we his friends will miss him. More importantly, David's friends, the poor who benefited from his talents, are all the poorer because of his passing. David, all of us,  rich and poor,  have been graced by your presence in our lives. We grieve with your family in our loss. May God bless all of us who have had a part in your life.

I lost contact with David after leaving St. Mary's Seminary in 1970.  I can see from the many touching comments that he was the same great guy that I knew so many years ago.  My sincerest sympathy for your loss.

David was the epitome of the heart that was bigger than the man.  His light was always shining, warming the courtroom and uplifting the downtrodden.  He always had some jovial quip or quote to make me smile, even on the darkest day.  We will miss him more than words can say.

The service was beautiful, Susie and the family are delightful people, and the luncheon was a hit. We will miss David - What to say... words are hard to find in moments of loss but I'll begin here: there was never a dull moment and he was man of character and good heart through and through. I'm thankful that God shared David Judd with us - God Bless you Judd family and I am keeping you in my prayers. <3

We are truly heartbroken.I got the news this morning and just cried.David was a fabulous attorney,friend,father...I sat and reflected on all the times he came to our aid. The jokes he would tell,the times he was serious...how it was best to lose on your own terms than to win on someone else's...We loved him.I always sent him those "Far Side" calanders for the new year.Those cartoons would just crack him up!We are going to miss you! Ever since freshman year of high school, I have seen Dave as always a friend, a great athlete, a role model, a leader, a loving and devoted husband and father--the epitome of what a practicing Catholic man should be in this age. I have know David's wife Susie most of my life and I remember when she met David. He was funny and he was so in love with Susie. His warm smile lit up a room. After 40 years of marriage, I don't think that their love ever changed.
A beautiful example of unity for their four children and all who knew them. My thoughts and prayers are with you all especially Susie.

I will  greatly miss David. He was a wonderful attorney but more importantly, a kind man with a great sense of humor. He has been in my daily prayers since I discovered he had cancer. I hadn't seen him at the courthouse and regret I did not do more to get hold of him.I remember him telling me in court one day, in anticipation of seeing his daughter perform the lead in Spiderman on Broadway the coming weekend, that his cancer was of little importance in comparison. He made my heart smile every time I saw him.

Well, David was my friend he was always saying good things to me and he loved when I would say crazy things to him,we would just laugh. Oh my God I am going to miss him. May God be with you and your family. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of David's life.

I began working at the probation dept in 1976, David & I shared a desk area sitting face to face daily.  I counted on & enjoyed his sense of humor from that time forward. We shared family, courthouse, & life stories thru all these years, & I treasured the  friendship of this good & gentle man.  I know well how he loved his family, & my prayers are with you all.
