Uncle David was so kind! He called me munchkin just like the rest of my great uncles. Of course my Pipah (uncle Sonny to most, Edward Lozano, Jr.) Started that. I got to see him often when we would go visit Granny on Pearl street. He was absolutely in LOVE with his girl Pinky🥰. Love you Pinky and your daddy is with his family in heaven. He is your new guardian Angel! What a blessing for him to spend eternity with his heavenly father & loved ones in Heaven. You will see him again. Patience is difficult I can not lie. Please call if you need anything or an ear🥰

David was a big force in my life he took it upon himself to stay in touch w me .. he would say since he was good friends w my brothers Ernest n Enoch Diaz he felt like the best way to honor them was to "WATCH OUT' for me .. I could call David anytime any day n if I needed him he would help .. even if it was just to cry he was there for me.. David was a strong person who wouldn't give up even when others might .. like the saying goes ' he would make lemonade out of lemons' I loved him just like a brother.. I always felt safe.. he loved his grandchildren w all his heart .. his biggest love was Pauline (Pinky)... he has a little rhyme that went 'PAULINE MARIE MEY LA DIERRON AY ME' when asked about kids he would straighten up n say I have 1 daughter n she has my eyes very proudly .. David I will miss you dearly I can't believe you're gone but I know how lonely you have been to be w your brothers... Rest in heavenly peace my homeboy love Melinda Rodriguez Gonzales

He nicknamed me ‘Missie Mae’ when I was a child. Two great memories with him are when he would set me on top of Granny’s refrigerator and leave me there for five minutes to tease me. He loved to go water skiing with us on our boat when I was a child. I’d yell, “Are you ready?” He’d yell back, “Yes, Missie Mae!!” I will forever miss you my dear uncle David ❤️
