David Henderson Parker

David was born December 26, 1925, in Anson, Jones County, Texas. He died November 17, 2014, at his home in Melissa, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Nona; his father and step-mother, David Leland and Dorothy Jo; and brothers, Eugene and Ed.

David served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946. He married Edgarmae (Eddie) Jones on January 1, 1948.

With the devoted help and encouragement of Eddie, he earned degrees in Business and Law from Southern Methodist University, Dallas.

His business career was in partnership with his brother Paul as co-owners of Texas Insurance Claims Service, Inc., Richardson, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Edgarmae (Eddie); son, Page Parker (Linda); daughter, Pamela J. Knight (Michael); grandchildren, Angie (Shawn), Lizzy (Etienne), Beverly (Kyle), Becky (Neal), Taylor (Sarah), and William; brother, Paul Parker (Sue); nieces, Deborah, Danna Jo, and Leanne; and nephew, Mark.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and the Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M., and burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
