I'm so sorry to hear of Davids passing. David was a very dear friend that I grew up with in Borger Texas. We were in the same Boy Scout troop together.  We would haul our gear to Camp Kiowa Boy Scout camp in his fathers funeral hurst, which at the time we thought was cool. When we would stop at gas stations Joe Simpson would always buy us all sodas and treats. David brought his canoes to lake McClellan near Pampa for us to earn our canoeing merit badge. He was a great friend.

David was the love of my life, the light of day and I will forever miss him!

I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Please take comfort in knowing God will take away the sting of death (Hosea 13:14).

Dear David,
Thank you for your guidance.  Thank yo for your encouraging cards.  Thank you most of all for sharing Cindy with me.  I know she was your best friend in one way, but she's mine in another.  She loved you so much, and knew you were her soulmate.  You will be missed by so many people, but none more than Cindy.  We will keep you alive in our hearts through the laughter and tears we share forever and always.

David was truly one of kind.  Having worked with and for David in the early 80's shaped me to strive to always be honest with yourself first.....also never to end a sentence with "at"!  David was so proud of the two most important people in his life - Chad and Lezlie!
My heart goes out to you knowing that he was one those "good guys" you could always trust.

Just the best Friend anyone could grow up with. One of the Fearsome Foursome in Borger's First Christian Church, David will truely make God's day in Heaven - what a peace of work. RIP ole Buddy.

Cindy, I am terribly saddened by your loss.  I worked with you and David at Moore Funeral Home, (N. Davis location).  Thank you for taking such special care of him over the years. David taught me so much about the funeral industry and about caring for people during and after their loss, several things that have become a part of me. I will never forget David's direct way of training new funeral directors.  Of course, he was a little intimidating until you had your first toe to toe fight with him.  Once he saw the "fight" in me, David opened the flood gates of his knowledge and poured it into me.  I appreciated it then, now, and forever.  Also, I am grateful that I had many opportunities to thank him and tell him how much he meant to me.  Often, he was an encourager, although sometimes it was AFTER he chastised me for doing something dumb. There are probably a lot of directors that are wearing his footprints today, I am gladly wearing them well.

David was a mentor to me when I first started in the funeral industry.  He was full of wit and funny stories. Some of my favorite saying come from him and I still use them in practice today (behind the scenes). He often told stories about his early years in the funeral business and one day he was telling a story of a young apprentice that he mentored. Oh, she was the smartest, the prettiest, the best damn woman he had ever met and under his guidance she had become the best funeral director around. I waited for him to finish his story but he trailed off and seemed to get lost in that memory. I finally asked what had become of her. He turned around and smiled really big and said " I married her!"  Thank you, David. Rest in peace.
