

David Eugene Tibbits, 69, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2026. Born on October 15, 1956, in Las Vagas, Nevada, David was the youngest of three children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ray and Dolores Tibbits.
David graduated from Clark High School, Class of 1973, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from the University of Nevada , Las Vegas. His steady diligence and patient spirit found their fullest expression in a life devoted to education and service to others.
David served as an educator in the Dallas Independent School District for over 30 years, teaching Math, Chemistry, and Biology. Over the course of his career, he received many awards and plaques—recognition of years of hard work, consistent excellence, and the care he extended to generations of students. He also volunteered and tutored students in Chemistry, offering his time and knowledge with compassion and quiet dedication. After retiring from teaching, David continued working as a Security Officer for GM.
For 43 years, David was married to Elease Holloway Tibbits, a bond marked by devotion and steadfast love.
David was active in the Souls for Christ Food Pantry, reflecting a life shaped by service and concern for others. He was baptized at Beckley Heights Church of Christ and served faithfully until his health failed, remaining committed in spirit and purpose throughout the seasons of his life.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and his step-daughters; Linda Holloway and Brenda Holloway.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife; Elease Holloway Tibbits, Brother; Ray Tibbits and his wife, Pamela, Sister, Euice Conley and her husband, Jack. Step children; Curtis Holloway Jr., Ranae Rochell Holloway, grandchildren; Nicole Holloway, Laurel Holloway, Henry Jasper Holloway, Jasmine Janae Lampkin, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
