Davis "Pete" Emmett Hanvey Jr.

January 2, 1967August 26, 2019

Davis “Pete” Emmett Hanvey Jr. returned to our Father in Heaven on Monday, August 26, 2019. He was a bright-eyed trickster, an earnest believer in the Savior and his mission, a gentle giant, an incredible son, brother and friend.

He loved his wife and children with such intensity that his whole being would shine!

He will be greatly missed, though one would expect him to sneak from Heaven to play one more trick.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah; children, Preston and April; father, Davis Emmett Hanvey Sr.; Sister, Wendy and husband Russell Maness, sister, Brenda Sue Green; in-laws, Jerry and Diana Blakeney; brother-in-law, David Monday. His aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other extended family and many many many friends also survive him. He is also survived his three dogs, Minnie, Molly and Zoey.

From the very first time meeting Pete and Debbie we admired them always with a big smile and a sweet attitude. It was obvious he loved his wife Debbie and the children when they started coming. He was a Gentle Giant she was a tiny beautiful shy young woman. He was a good match with the Surveying Business. Doug and I adored him and his work ethic and love of life. Thank u for sharing him with us for awhile Debbie. Linda Connally and family.

I've always been told God takes the best ones first . Go rest in heaven and I will see you someday. You always were the sweetest guys in high school always trying to make somebody's day better when they were having a bad day.

We grew up across the street all of our childhood. Went to Motley, Vanston, NMHS (85). You were a great friend. You left us way to soon! You will be missed.
