

Deborah was born on August 4, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to Beatrice Varela and Ralph Martinez. She was raised in Dallas and attended Lake Highlands High School, graduating in 1977.
In 1981, Deborah married the love of her life, Nick Perez, and together they built a loving family and raised three children. She faithfully dedicated 47 years of service to AT&T as a Network Center Technician in Engineering and Operations before retiring. Her dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on her colleagues and the many people she worked alongside throughout her long career.
Debbie enjoyed watching all types of sporting events, listening to a variety of music, cooking, shopping, and going out to dinner. She especially loved spending time with her family, enjoying the outdoors with a cup of coffee, and sharing meaningful conversations with friends and loved ones.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a compassionate listener—someone people could always talk to. She was strong in her faith and known for her humility, empathy, determination, and unwavering commitment to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia “Patty” Martinez, and her father, Ralph G. Martinez.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Nick Perez; her three children: daughter Allyson Perez, Angela (Ed) Ortega, and son Adam Perez. She also leaves behind nine cherished grandchildren: Victoria, Ed Jr., Manuel, Andrew, Brian Jr., Valerie, Ethan, Adam Jr., and Deztinee; and five great-grandchildren: Layla, Gianna, Adrian, Enzo, and Cithlaly. She is also survived by her mother, Beatrice Varela; her sisters, Suzanne (Richard) Estrada and Lisa (Mark) Painter; her brother, Kendall Ralph Martinez; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Above all, Deborah was the heart of her family—a strong and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose love and guidance brought everyone together. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
