Debra Jean Loyd Hollis was born March 2, 1956. She was born to Bessie Mayes Taylor and Alfonso Loyd Sr. in Dallas, Texas. Both proceeded her in death.

She accepted Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. She attended New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Dr. M.L. Curry for many years. She later joined Progressive Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. William E. Wyatt Sr. Debra attended DISD where she later graduated. She worked at Goodwill for several years, she also worked at Geodis and was a lead for many years. She took great pride in her job. She worked and she was a woman of integrity. Debra loved God who was the head of her life and she exemplified God's love throughout her lifetime. She was the glue in her family. She loved her family, her children and especially her grand children.

She was an outspoken character. She loved life and was so kind and generous to everyone she came across. She would always go the extra mile to help someone. She was so special. She later in life met the man of her life.

She leaves to cherish her husband of 18 years Charles Hollis, her children; Robert Loyd (Labanda) of Waco, TX, Reginald Loyd of Dallas, TX, Re'Keashia Washington (Joe) of Dallas, TX. 3 children she loved as her own , Willie Charles Hollis (Linda) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Tiffany Culberson of South Bend Indiana and Angie Hollis of Duncan, Oklahoma. Preceeding her in death is her brother Alfonso Loyd Jr., 3 sisters; Evelyn Walker of Waco, Texas, Patricia Gilmore of Waco, Texas, Rosalind Loyd of McPherson, KS. 4 in laws; Joseph Hollis (Tina), Ida Hollis (Ricki), Geneva Kirby (Randal) and Loretta Coble (Rodney).

Debra will be missed by all who knew her.
