Delia Pajigal Paraguya – a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of God—was called home to the Lord on May 4, 2026. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, embraced in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Born on October 10, 1951, in the Philippines, Delia lived a life rooted in deep faith, quiet strength, and a love that reached everyone around her.
Del, as she was lovingly called, had a gentle spirit and a joyful heart. She carried her faith in everything she did—from her daily prayers and devotion to attending Mass, to the way she cared for her family and welcomed others with warmth and kindness. She had a natural way of making people feel at home, often through her cooking, laughter, and simple presence. Her life was a reflection of her belief in God’s goodness, and she remained steadfast in her devotion through all seasons of life.
She began her career in healthcare, where her compassion for others truly shone as a midwife. Later, she and her husband built a life together in Irving, Texas. Whether through her work, her friendships, or her quiet acts of generosity, Del gave of herself fully and without hesitation.
Family was at the center of her life. She found her greatest joy in being with her loved ones—sharing meals, telling stories, watching movies, and traveling when she could. But nothing brought her more happiness than her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and prayed for always.
Del’s life reminds us of the importance of faith, family, and perseverance. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we hold on to the promise of eternal life and trust that we will see her again. As Filipinos and as Catholics, we take comfort in prayer, in community, and in the hope of the resurrection.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Leoncio Paraguya; her children and their spouses: Iris (Scott), Jason (Maribel), and Darlene (Benjamin); and her cherished grandchildren: Alexander, Dominic, Zachary, Isabelle, Roman, Lincoln, and Safron.
“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.”
1 Thessalonians 4:13–14: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”
Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mass will be celebrated at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at 10:00 AM, with a reception afterward.
