Delois Inez Browning, 86, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2026.
Born on January 22, 1940, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Carlton John Witt and Rosanna Perkins Witt, Delois lived a life centered on love, kindness, and family.
Delois had a heart that welcomed everyone. She was the kind of person who would do anything she could to help others, always putting family and friends first. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and comfort—a reflection of the love she gave so freely.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether she was creating crafts for her loved ones, painting, or searching for treasured antiques, she poured her creativity and care into everything she did. The things she made—and the memories she created—will be cherished forever.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two beloved sons, Sam and Clifton Shay.
Delois leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts: her daughter, Catherine Baker, and son-in-law Jeff of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Her legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
