Derek was a kind and caring person. He was talented and funny. How brilliant and gifted in Math and Engineering he was. He was an amazing athlete who had a lovely singing voice. Derek is preceded in death by his father, David Poole; grandfather, Fred Schenkler; aunt, Jan Schenkler McConley; cousin, Shirah Schenkler Buchinger. He is survived by his mother, Cinde Schenkler; brother, Max Poole; grandmother, Ellen Schenkler; uncles, Phillip Schenkler, David McConley; aunt, Carol; cousins, Tommy, Bailey, Joe, Trish, D.J., Zach, Lisa, Dusti, Brandon, Jules, Erika and all of their children and a large brotherhood of friends and extended families.
