My Aunt Diana was one of a dwindling number of people that endured World War II, married a U.S. GI and bravely left home for a new country, sight unseen. Always friendly, always in good spirits, she reveled in telling me about times when I was a youngster and my mother, also a war bride, had returned to England for a visit with her parents and siblings. I was always welcome in her home, and hope that her family can take some solace in knowing that I and others who knew her appreciate what a really nice person she was. May she rest in peace.

Precious memories of one of the sweetest people I have ever known. I will forever remember her kindness and welcoming nature. She was witty, funny and, I believe, the one that gave me my nickname. I can hear her now--It's Fininny! All my love to this family who is so dear to me.

This fabulous angel was a huge part of my life and childhood. Precious memories of our families I still cherish today. Praying for the Hill family as God sure called an angel home. What a blessing she was to so many lives.
