Dolores May (nee Mahn) Blank, 81, passed away May 6, 2014, fortified by the sacraments. Loving wife for 59 years of Charles Blank. Devoted mother of the late David Eugene Blank and James Michael Blank. Beloved grandmother of Megan Blank. Daughter of the late George and Mary Mahn, Sr. Dear sister of John Mahn, Sr. (the late Patricia) and the late George Mahn, Jr. (Joanne). Cherished sister-in-law of John Blank, the late Jim Blank (Linda) and Margaret Selinger (Jim). Caring Aunt of John Mahn, Jr., Michael Mahn, George Mahn III, Steven Mahn and Ryan Mahn, Judi McDonough, the late Suzy Blank, Stuart Selinger, Denny Selinger, Anne Selinger, Greg Selinger, and great aunt of Stella Mahn. Dolores was born in St. Louis, MO. She attended St. Columbkille School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in St. Louis, MO. An avid bridge player, painter, golfer and gardener, she was also previously involved in prison ministry, illiteracy programs and other social work. Dolores had a lifelong passion for politics, music, art and interior design. Dolores was a gracious, thoughtful and generous person who loved people and reached out to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed. Visitation: Thursday May 8th from 6-8pm at the Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home 7405 West Northwest Highway. (Dallas). Rosary immediately afterwards at 8:00pm. Funeral Mass: Friday May 9th 11:00am at St. Monica Catholic Church (9933 Midway Rd. Dallas, TX. 75220). Lunch at St. Monica Family Center immediately following mass. Burial at Calvary Hill Cemetery afterward.
