Dolores was born on February 24th, 1931 in Dallas, Texas to Guadalupe and Consepsion Rosa. She attended Cumberland Hill Elementary School and was a proud graduate of N. R. Crozier Tech High School in 1949. Before her illness, she had discussed attending her 75th High School Reunion this past May.
From 1966 until her retirement, Dolores worked at Dallas Legal Services, which provided Legal Assistance to those in need. She was extremely well respected in the legal community.
Growing up, Dolores was the heart of our home and family. She raised four boys, twins Raymond (Sharron) and Robert (Karen), Mickey (Mary Nan), and Stanley (Denise) in a happy and loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults. Dolores was married for 30 years to her husband, Rosalio T. Lopez, affectionately known by his nickname Heddy. He preceded her in death in 1986. As a grandmother to 10, and a great-grandmother to 18, she had always been lovingly referred to as “Momo”.
Dolores was known for her happy laugh and kind heart. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed. Her love of outdoor plants and gardens have been passed down to all. Her Mexican Food recipes will never be matched. Her tacos, enchiladas, rice, beans, and menudo were the absolute best!
