Dolores DeLeon Clifton Waller was born June 20, 1930 in Dallas, Texas and went to be with her Lord on July 27, 2019 at the Brookdale Assisted Living in Weatherford, Texas. Memorial service will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 12:00pm, Laurel Land Funeral Home & Memorial Park’s Chapel of the Chimes and visitation will be Wednesday, July 31st from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Laurel Land Funeral Home & Memorial Park both at 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76134. Burial will follow memorial service at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6300 S R. L. Thornton Frwy, Dallas, TX 75232.
Dolores, 89, is survived by her daughter, Lisa Dolores Feagley and husband Jimmy of Reno, Texas; son, Will Waller and wife Lezlie of Rendon, Texas; granddaughters Jamie Gupta and husband Vipul of San Antonio, Texas and Jenna Feagley of Ft. Worth; grandson William Chance Waller of Stephenville; great granddaughter Priya Gupta of San Antonio; and specially loved nieces and cousins.
She was the only child of Rufus and Jackie Clifton. Dolores graduated at age 16 from Sunset High School in Dallas and was a lifetime learner attending Tarrant County Junior College as well as classes with the Lockheed Martin Management Association where she also served as office manager following retirement as a career Executive Administrative Assistant. At age 5, she began dance lessons with the Doris Walters’ school and later Boyce Moss School of Dance in Dallas. Dolores frequently sang and danced solo and in groups at various venues including Sanger Bros., State Fair of Texas and Melba Theater where Shirley Temple also performed.
She and husband D.O. Pug Waller moved from Arlington to Godley in 1987, joined First Baptist Church Godley and attended together until he passed away in 1992. She loved writing, painting and taught Bible classes through her life up until age 86. Preceded in death by brother Carl Clifton or North Carolina.
