She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and sister whose presence lifted every room she entered. Her absence leaves a quiet ache in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on March 13, 1938, in Berclair, Texas, and raised in Beeville, Dominga carried the strength and warmth of her upbringing throughout her life. On November 6, 1954, she married the love of her life, Ignacio Ozuna, beginning a 66 year journey filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering partnership. Together they built a home in Dallas, Texas, where they raised their three children and created a life rooted in faith, family, and generosity.
Dominga worked for 20 years as a production line operator at Bridgford Foods, retiring in 2003. She was a proud and active member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church, where she volunteered her time and celebrated the sacraments and milestones of her family and friends with deep joy.
Dominga’s spirit was her greatest gift. She carried an optimism that never dimmed, offering encouragement, comfort, and hope to anyone who needed it. Her family and friends leaned on her gentle wisdom and her ability to brighten even the hardest days. She poured love into her quilting, stitching beauty and care into every piece she made. She cherished storytelling, road trips, time spent with loved ones, and the music that filled her home — Tejano and Spanish songs that echoed her heritage and heart.
She will be remembered for her faith, her boundless love for her family, and her remarkable ability to lift spirits and inspire hope.
Dominga is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ignacio Ozuna Jr. and Carmen Ozuna of Dallas; her daughter and son in law, Irene Ozuna Moreno and Andrew Moreno of Rowlett; her grandchildren, Simon Ozuna, Gabriel Moreno, Alex Moreno, and Jamie Rodriguez; her great grandchildren, Krystale Rodriguez and Alexis Rodriguez; her sister and brother in law, Antonia and Guadalupe Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas; and many beloved relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Antonia Garcia; her husband, Ignacio Ozuna; her brother, Juan Garcia; her sisters, Paula G. Espinoza and Stella Mendez; her son, Ismael G. Ozuna; and her grandson, Augustine Rodriguez.
Visitation for Dominga will be held on September 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:30 PM, at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on September 4, 2026, at 9:30 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1304 Main St., Garland, TX.
Following the Mass, a Committal Service will take place at 11:15 AM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX.
