

Don Alan Herbert, 77, of Garland, Texas, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2025, in Frisco, Texas. He was born on November 24, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to Joseph Herbert and Goldia Dial Herbert.
Don grew up in Caldwell, Kansas, and graduated from Caldwell High School. He went on to attend Emporia State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and was a proud member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. While at Emporia State, Don met the love of his life, Willa Jeanne Davis Herbert. The two were married on July 4, 1971, at the First Christian Church in Wellington, Kansas. Shortly after, they made their home in Dallas, Texas, where Don worked as an insurance agent and together they raised two sons.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; his older brother, Gary Herbert; and his youngest son, Chad Cameron Herbert. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Willa Jeanne Herbert; his son, Aaron Alan Herbert; and his cherished granddaughter, Madilynn Victoria Herbert.
Don will be remembered for his warm personality, unwavering faith, dedication to his family, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
A viewing and reception will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75228.
