

Born February 9,1941 in Dallas, Texas and passed way December 5, 2020 in Tyler, Texas at Christus Trinity Mother Frances. He was proceeded in death by his parents Clarence W. Brown and Syble D. Brown. He is survived by his sister, Carol Ellis, Nieces Deborah Demma (Bill), Donna Ellis and nephew Eugene Ellis (Ann), one great niece and 5 great nephews.
1959 Don was saved and baptized.
Don grew up in Oak Cliff. As a teenager he liked working at Cody's, a local floral shop. He became very talented at setting up for weddings and making beautiful floral arrangements. Don decorated the chapel and reception room for his sisters wedding. Made her bridal bouquet and corsages for her brides maids. It was a very lovely wedding.
He left Cody's In the 70's to work at Duncanville Florist for four years. He was a member of the National Historical Society and the American Historical Society, a state officer of the Texas Jaycees and he received the outstanding Jaycee of the year award from the Duncanville Jaycees. Don left the Duncanville Florist to work at Laurel Land Flower Shop later called Rembrandt Florist. He worked there until his retirement.
Don volunteered at the Frontiers Flight Museum. In 2010 Don moved to a senior living apartment in Dallas. While living there he volunteered driving his neighbors to grocery shop. He would pick up food baskets for his friends and neighbors in need.
In 2019 Don moved to Canton to be near his sister, Carol. His health was declining but he stayed in good spirits. He spent his last few months in the hospital or Canton Oaks Nursing Home. He put up a good fight but contracted Covid, and due to his health, his heart gave out.
He will be missed by his loved ones and friends.
