

On June 23, 2015 an Angel of the Lord was called to her eternal home. Donnie the daughter of Cleo Stewart was born August 8, 1921 in Kansas, Missouri. She was raised and loved by her parents Mattie and Brown Williams. She graduated from Booker T. Washington she followed her passion in private nursing for many years but later worked in the Dallas Independent School District where she retired. Although she was a career woman she was a devoted wife and mother who spent her life caring for the needs of her family with GOD in the forefront. She united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Paul Brown and through this union two children were born. Donnie later entered into a union of love with Mr. Bill Kemp and five more children were born. Donnie was met in Paradise by her parents, husband Bill Kemp, and her son Terry Kemp with open arms. Donnie and Bill Kemp became members at Marsalis Ave Church of Christ until he was called home. She later moved to Tucson, Arizona and upon her return to Dallas, Texas. She placed her membership at the Light of the World Church of Christ where she remained a devoted member. Those that will continue to cherish Donnie Mae Kemp’s life and legacy are her children: Robert “Bobby” Brown (Rosa), Mattie R. Fisher, Billy R. Kemp, Tommy L. Kemp, Donetta Kemp Barnes, and Jerri L. Kemp Bryant; fifteen Grandchildren, a host of Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren ; Sister Dorothy Lee; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Christian Friends.
