Dora Katherine Miller Owens, age 101, passed away on Nov 21, 2025, in Mesquite, TX. She was born in Cumby, TX to James Rudolph Miller and Ruby Jackson Miller. She attended East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce, TX. She married Thomas Earl Owens, Jr. on July 26, 1952. Dora was a faithful Christian, accomplished Navy wife, RV club member and traveler, Whistle Hill co-rancher, blue ribbon winner at the State Fair of Texas in the paper quilling category, breast cancer survivor, avid reader=reading 20-25 books per year and was an avid fan of author John Grisham. Dora was a long-time philanthropist, donating to Children at Heart, Miracle Farm and Texas Baptist Men. She is preceded in death by husband Thomas Earl Owens, Jr and parents Rudolph and Ruby Miller. She is survived by one niece and two nephews.
