Doris LaVelle Krecek

Doris LaVelle Krecek, age 95, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 in Rowlett, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 13, 1926 in Rosebud, Texas to James and Lydia Wright. Doris was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Garland High School in 1945. She married the love of her life, Harold Krecek in 1946 and they were together 74 years. They were blessed with five children. She was a homemaker for 34 years and then worked at John B. Hood Jr. High School where she worked for more than 17 years. In her spare time, Doris enjoyed being with her family at Lake Texoma; loved spending time with her 12 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; gardening; reading the paper and checking the weather! She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church where she truly enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior and was always blessed by her ladies Bible class. Doris is preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Clark (98); beloved husband, Harold Krecek (100.5) and son, Frank Krecek (49.) She is survived by her loving children, Harold and Chris Krecek, LaVelle and Ernie Mays, Richard and Janette Krecek and Donna and David Nobra; daughter-in-law, Toni Krecek; twelve grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. A visitation for Doris will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM with a committal service to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
