Doris Jean Montgomery, age 92, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026, in Plano, Texas, from natural causes.
Doris was born on February 16, 1934, in Eustace, Texas, to Barney C. Stegall and Francis Stegall. She spent her life in Texas, where she built meaningful relationships and was known for her steady presence and quiet strength.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace Montgomery. Doris is survived by her nieces, Michaelene Lee, Ann Wieringa, and Mary Shoemaker. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephews, Tommy Montgomery, Ralph Montgomery, and Wayne Montgomery. She shared a special bond with her close family friends, Susan and Greg Biggs, along with their children, Megan and Blake Biggs. Doris leaves behind a legacy of love through her extended family and those who were fortunate to know her.
The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX, with the committal service following in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, and a reception to follow.
